How To Choose The Perfect Laundry Room Cabinets

Building or remodeling your home requires a lot of attention to detail.  One of the biggest bones of contention that most homeowners have is not getting enough storage.  Whether in the kitchen, bathroom, pantry or garage, storage space is always an issue.  The quest is how to stay organized and what are the best type of organizers.  Closets and closet space can be a determining factor in the sale of a home.  One of the places that most homeowners overlook is the laundry room cabinets.

They certainly come in a variety of styles, with multiple shelves and varying layouts.  You can choose one shelf or two, a rack for your clothes hangers, drawers and many other designs.  There are even corner units available.  Some storage solutions are custom designed while other manufacturers offer pre-made cabinets that are ready for installation.  The first and easiest place to start your search for storage for the laundry room remodel is on line.  On line will offer you ideas and photos from numerous companies that offer new, used and on sale and discount cabinets.  You may decide to go with custom built in ones versus stand alone shaker style cabinets.

Laundry room cabinets come in many different styles and are made out of different types of materials.  Some such as the ones that fit underneath or in between your washer and drawer maybe made of steel.  While others such as the ones that are installed overhead maybe made of oak, pine or some other type of wood.  This type of cabinetry varies from the other type of cabinetry found throughout the rest of the house.  These garage cabinets and storage are usually not as small as the ones located in the bathroom but may not be as inexpensive as the unfinished ones that were installed in the garage.

You may already have cabinets in your laundry that simply need a little love.  They may just need refacing to make them look good as new.  Rubbermaid or Coleman storage cabinets are two companies that have made a real name for themselves by creating the perfect storage solutions.  They have many different products that will keep your cabinets organized and clean. If you are interested in the potential uses for a lundry room then Wikipedia is an excellent resource worth checking out.

If you are like the average home owner you store more than clothes and laundry detergent in your laundry room cabinets.  Many times they become the cabinets that catch all of the items that don't have a home anywhere else in the house.

My wife wants a very specific style of cabinet for the laundry room, but I think I'd rather get one that is used instead because I can find it for sale cheap. I never thought about refinishing one, but I bet I can get a better quality if I do that.

We have really been needing some extra storage in our bathroom, but I think instead that I will add a corner cabinet in the laundry room. Some of the things don't need to be in the restroom, so the next obvious place to stash things is by the washer and dryer.

My wife has been bugging me to put in shelving for the laundry room for a while, and I guess I can see now why she needs some kind of storage in there. I don't spend a lot of time there, but it really does get to be a mess with bottles and clothes everywhere.

My husband wanted to get me a shaker corner cabinet for the laundry area, but I think that is probably too specific. Would they really combine those two styles together? Most of the ones I have seen are very plain and boring, and I will probably settle for something less.

We really do need some kind of laundry cabinet because right now we keep everything in the bathroom, which is right next to it. It's not really very convenient, but I didn't know what else to do. Maybe something simple with shelving would fit into this very tiny space that we have.

Right now we have no storage to speak of in the laundry room, and I think anything would be an improvement. I didn't realize that there was a style like that made for the corner. That would be so perfect because our wash area is such a very tiny space.

I actually have some bathroom shelving that I wanted to replace with some kind of cabinet, and I bet one of these kinds would be perfect. It will mainly be for towels and stuff, although we do have a few other bottles and things to keep in there as well.

I have been looking everywhere for a corner cabinet for the laundry area, but I have not been able to find one. Maybe I should look online, although I have been worried about high shipping costs since it would be a bulk item. I wish the stores around here carried more variety.

I have been looking for a laundry cabinet in a Shaker style because I think it would be really neat, but my husband says I am putting too much thought into it. After all, it is just the laundry area right? It's hard to know what kind to get because I need something functional too.

Right now all we have is this old shelving up around the laundry room, but I think that something with a door would be better. Does anyone know the best companies that make these? Do I just look for a kitchen cabinet or are there some specifically for the laundry?

Can I use these cabinets and shelves in other rooms of my house? I have wanted to add a pantry for a long time now and a diy project seems like the way to go.

I thought I had plenty of storage space in my laundry room, but every year it seems I have more things to store and less room to store them in. Thanks for the space saving tips.

I have a small house which means I also have a small garage, so there is really not a lot of space for storage. I think adding shelves and cabinets would be a great way to solve that problem.

I have just finished with college and found a place of my own but I had no space in my laundry room or bedroom for storage. This website answered all my questions. Thanks!

My laundry is an absolute mess. I have things strewn everywhere and I know the simplest way to fix this would be to get some storage of some kind.. Have checked out a few online stores and its given me some brands.. My wife loves painting things so I could always just build one from scratch
